About Receptiviti
Thirty years ago we invented the science at the intersection of language and psychology, and we've been perfecting it ever since.
Our history traces back to the 1990s and the seminal work of Receptiviti Co-founder, Dr. James W. Pennebaker at the University of Texas who began investigating whether analysis of writing could predict mental and physical health, personalities, social behaviours, and cognitive processes. And yes, it can.
Since those early days, our science has been the basis of thousands of publications covering topics such as organizational psychology, behaviour change, risk, mental health, deception, and more.

For years, we have worked closely with academics around the world, supporting and contributing to research, and continuously improving the informative and predictive quality of our technology platform, which is built on a foundation of decades of research by renowned experts in language, psychology, machine learning, and data science.
Today, Receptiviti helps the world's most powerful brands, employers, and technology companies bring a psychological understanding of their customers, users, and audiences to every interaction. We enable them to understand how psychology, personality and emotions manifest and change in real-time when people interact with brands, digital products, surveys, social media, chatbots, artificial intelligence, call centres, and the people who matter to their business.
Our science is cited in over 20,000 research publications, and our psycholinguistic technology is imbedded into the software of many of the world’s largest technology companies, communications and marketing agencies, HR technology, digital health, professional services and financial services companies.
